How is a hosted job priced?
The server estimates credits from the normalized speech characters in your selected chapters. Full cast adds 50% before rounding at the default rate. Use the quote in Studio for your actual book.
What if a render fails?
Credits are reserved when a job starts, consumed on successful completion, and released on failure or cancellation.
How long can I download my audiobook?
Hosted audiobooks are retained for 30 days after completion. Download your M4B before then and keep your original EPUB. Source files become eligible for deletion 24 hours after all their conversions finish; unused uploads become eligible after 24 hours.
Is full-cast narration available on every server?
Studio shows the narration modes supported by the connected server. Full-cast narration is available in staging; the production service currently advertises single-narrator conversion. Full-cast samples demonstrate the feature, not production availability.
Can everything run locally?
Speech synthesis runs locally after the initial downloads. A single narrator does not require a language-model provider. Full-cast quote attribution uses the provider you configure, which may be local or remote.
Can I edit and preview individual lines in Studio?
The Python library supports script inspection, corrections and selected-line previews. Those controls are not yet exposed by the Studio server API. The recordings on this site are examples, not previews of an uploaded book.
